Walker Cooper smacked 2 homeruns and had 8 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds defeated
the New York Giants by the score of 14 to 7 at Polo Grounds.

Cooper propelled Cincinnati to victory. He doubled which was good for two
runs in the 4th inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 5th
inning, laced a single knocking in a run in the 8th inning and lofted a
three-run bomb in the 9th inning. Despite scoring in 5 separate innings, New
York could not get the win.

Herm Wehmeier(5-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 6 runs. Eddie Erautt got the save, his 1st. Hank Behrman(3-3) was
the loser in relief. He was knocked around, surrendering 4 runs in 2 and 2/3
innings.

'Everything seemed to click today,' Cooper said 'if it could only be this easy
all the time!'
