1949 AL Game: NY @ Clev.

  Vic Raschi and the New York Yankees put an end to the surging Cleveland Indians 12 game winning streak today by defeating the Indians 6-3. For Raschi (pictured) it was his 15th Win of the season, most in MLB this year. He needed help from Joe Page in the bottom of the 9th who got his AL leading 12th Save of the season. By salvaging the 3rd game of the series, New York moved to 2.5 games ahead of the 2nd place Indians.

The New York Yankees bested the Cleveland Indians by a 6 to 3 score at
Municipal Stadium.
 
New York came up with 2 runs in the 4th inning with the help of 3 hits.  They
ended up being the winning runs.  New York rapped out 10 hits for the
afternoon.  
 
Vic Raschi(15-3) went 8 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Joe Page
gained credit for his 12th save.  Early Wynn(6-3) ended up with the loss.
