1949 NL News Recap with League Leaders

September 1, 1949

 We've reached the month of September in the 1949 season. Brooklyn's Jackie Robinson is flirting with .400 and is 2nd in the NL in RBI. Jackie has also stolen a league high 43 bases. Pittsburgh's Ralph Kiner is 1st in RBI and in HR's. Kiner has muscled 46 taters so far this season and driven in 117. Boston Brave Warren Spahn leads the NL in Wins, is 2nd in K's and 5th in ERA.
