The Detroit Tiger's Pat Mullin had a very productive day at the plate, leading the Tigers to a 13-1 drubbing of the Washington Senators. Mullin hit a bases clearing triple in the 1st inning and cleared the bases again in the 6th inning with a Grand Slam Homerun. His 7 RBI are the most by any AL player so far this season. Virgil Trucks pitched a great game, going the distance for his 5th Win of the year. The win also ended the Tiger's 3 game losing streak.

Virgil Trucks tossed a complete game as the Detroit Tigers ballclub
embarrassed the Washington Senators by the count of 13 to 1.

Pat Mullin was unconscious all evening. The Washington fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box as he just kept delivering base hits! He tripled
emptying the bases in the 1st inning and launched a rocket-shot out of the
park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 6th inning. Detroit banged out 13 hits
on the night.

The winning pitcher was Trucks(5-2) who allowed 1 run for the game. Walt
Masterson(1-2) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits and 7
walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
